Highlights of the Term

This half term has been filled with unforgettable moments for our students, beginning with Royal Navy workshops where they had the opportunity to engage with personnel and learn about the Navy’s operations. This was followed by an exciting visit to the HMS Prince of Wales, where students explored life on board a Royal Navy aircraft carrier, gaining invaluable insights into maritime defence and teamwork.

Students also had the chance to broaden their horizons with trips to Oxford University and the University of Birmingham, where they gained a deeper understanding of higher education options and the exciting opportunities that await them in the future.

Our cultural programme has also been impressive, with students attending the Beauty and the Beast pantomime at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre and enjoying the festive magic of A Christmas Carol at the Birmingham Rep Theatre. These experiences provided a fantastic opportunity to appreciate live theatre and further fuel their creativity and imagination.

Celebrating Diversity and Community Spirit

The Drop Down Day this term was dedicated to celebrating Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab, a day of reflection, community engagement, and raising funds for a meaningful cause. Additionally, our students took part in Remembrance Day activities, marking this significant occasion with reflection and respect for those who have served in the armed forces. There was also Wear It Purple Day to raise funds for the memorial garden.

Skill-Building and Creativity

In terms of skill development, our students have been busy at the BBC Scriptwriting Workshop, where they learned the art of storytelling and script creation from industry professionals. These creative sessions have sparked students’ imaginations and provided them with the tools to express their ideas in new and exciting ways. Looking Ahead With only two weeks left in the term, there is still much to come! We are excited for the opportunities that await our students in the final stretch, with further events, workshops, and educational experiences to look forward to.

As always, we remain committed to providing our students with a well-rounded and enriching educational experience, and we look forward to even more exciting activities in the new year. Thank you to all the students, staff, and families for their continued support in making this term such a success. Let’s finish strong and look forward to all that’s to come!
